Mercado Connect Limited is a fast-growing digital innovation company building solutions that empower local businesses and service providers across Africa.

One of our flagship products, FixPoint, is a smart platform connecting users with trusted artisans for reliable services.

We are currently building a high-impact animation content system to support product onboarding, marketing, and user education.

Opportunity

We are inviting talented 2D Animators and Motion Designers to join our creative pool under a Pay-Per-Product Agreement.

Selected animators will work on: • Product explainer videos • Character animations (FixMaster & FixCare) • Social media content • Promotional campaigns

Engagement Model • Non-exclusive contract • Pay-per-video/project basis • Opportunity for long-term collaboration • Work assigned in batches or individually

Scope of Work

Animators will be required to: • Develop storyboards from approved scripts • Produce high-quality 2D animations • Integrate voiceover and sound effects • Deliver final videos in required formats

Required Style • Clean, modern 2D animation • Startup/tech explainer style • Strong storytelling and motion clarity • Ability to maintain consistent character design

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must: • Have proven experience in 2D animation or motion design • Provide a portfolio of past work (links or files) • Be able to meet deadlines consistently • Demonstrate creativity and attention to detail

Financial Proposal (IMPORTANT)

Applicants are required to submit a clear financial offer, including: 1. Cost for: • 30-second animation • 60-second animation • Complex/custom animation 2. Revision policy (number of revisions included) 3. Delivery timeline per video 4. Any additional costs (voiceover, script support, etc.)

This allows us to evaluate value, flexibility, and scalability.

Application Requirements

Interested animators should submit: • Full Name • Location (Country) • Portfolio (links or attachments) • Tools/software used (e.g., After Effects, Illustrator) • Financial proposal (as outlined above) • Availability (full-time / part-time / freelance)

Selection Process

Stage 1: Application Review

Shortlisting based on portfolio and financial proposal

Stage 2: Test Project

Shortlisted candidates will be given a paid test animation

Stage 3: Final Selection

Top performers will be onboarded into the FixPoint animation team

Deadline

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
